Lois Brady CCC SLP
Lois Brady is passionate about working with the special needs community. She found her calling while in high school, when she spent her summer breaks volunteering in camp programs for children with special needs.
Lois has over two decades of experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder. Educational accomplishments include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Certificate in Assistive Technology, Certificate in Computer Based Intervention and completion of an Animal Assisted Therapy Program.
As an author, Lois relies on her solid base of knowledge build from her hands-on experience and research. Her books include, Apps for Autism and the Speech in Action book series. In addition, Lois designed and wrote an educational course on Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT.)
As an Assistive Technology Specialist, Lois is conducting research in communication disorders and developing products (apps) to enhance communication and language. She has partnered with SpeakinMotion to develop the Vast-Autism core App, the first in a series of apps aimed at enhancing communication for individuals with special needs.
Lois is the founder of Rancho La Paz, a non-profit Ranch for individuals on the spectrum, Lois hopes to provide a refuge for families and individuals where they can grow, learn, make friends, receive support, obtain information and acquire hands-on vocational skills.
Buttercup, her potbellied pig, frequently accompanies Lois in therapy sessions and is always a huge motivator for all.
